The Art of Gracie: Handpainted Wallpapers, Timeless Rooms

This book is a dream if you love chinoiserie, fabulous wallpaper, layered rooms, and interiors with real personality. Even the book itself is beautiful enough to decorate with, which is exactly what I want from a coffee table book.

DESCRIPTION

A celebration of one of the most iconic names in American interiors.

The Art of Gracie tells the story of Gracie, the family-owned company founded in 1898 and renowned for its exquisitely handpainted wallpapers. Across six generations, Gracie designs have appeared in the White House and in some of the country’s most memorable homes, becoming a favorite resource for many leading interior designers.

Filled with hundreds of photographs of beautifully designed rooms, the book showcases everything from florals and birds to sweeping landscapes, pastoral scenes, and richly colored custom papers. It is a gorgeous source of decorating inspiration and an especially beautiful object to style on a coffee table, console, or bookshelf.
